Stage 3 – Capacity Acceptance (Load test)

It is critical that tests are completed to ensure that both the Ethernet services and SIP elements (customer CPE) are able to support the full solution capacity requirements.

It is the responsibility of the Channel Partner to test the full capability of the CPE, significantly its ability to successfully process the maximum desired number of calls.

Gamma possesses restricted ability to facilitate load testing and it is dependent on CPE function (ability to play back a media stream for a set period of time). We are happy to support this but please note this is a chargeable function and will be assessed on a per project basis.

Charges #

Each agreed load test session is charged at £500.00. A standard solutions order form needs to be completed, signed and returned to Gamma in order to proceed.

Lead time and Outage times #

Gamma requires a 5 working day notice to arrange the load test.

The outage needs to be conducted outside of business hours from 21.30 local time weekdays.

The load test conducted by Gamma is solely to prove: #

That the maximum amount of channels configured for the SIP solution is available and

That the maximum limit of concurrent calls can be reached using the Gamma load testing script and call generator.

Minimum requirement for load testing include: #

Confirmation that you can provide 3 – 5 destination numbers that Gamma can target the concurrent calls to.

On answer of the Gamma calls, your equipment can play back media to a sufficient length of time, detail to be confirmed on conference call with Gamma engineering.

On site equipment must be able to answer and maintain all calls up to the full agreed channel allocation for the agreed call length as this test simulates real world VoIP calls e.g. 300 channels would require 300 answers on site by an IVR or MOH process that will continue to stream media for the agreed amount of time required to reach the full concurrent channel allocation. Gamma will generate calls at the pre-agreed CPS limit up until we reach the channel limit.

The Gamma software and functionality is limited and we will arrange a 15 minute call about set up, expectations prior to any agreed outage and field any questions or concerns you may have.

The test is to prove that the reseller equipment can handle the amount of channels / concurrent calls enabled to the solution only.
